Disable OneDrive sync in Windows 11
OneDrive comes preinstalled on Windows 11.
If you don't use OneDrive often enough, there is a way to turn off automatic syncing.
If you don't want to disable it completely, you can stop syncing only specific folders.

Pause sync
Click the OneDrive icon in the system tray.
Select Help & Settings.
Click Pause synchronization.
Choose an interval, for example 2 hours or 24 hours.

Unlink OneDrive
Click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar.
Click Help & Settings.
Click on the Account tab.
Click Unlink this PC.
Click Unlink Account.

Disable syncing of specific folders
Click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar.
Click the Backup tab, then click Manage Backup.
Uncheck the folders you do not want to sync.
Save the changes.

Disable OneDrive completely
Press Ctrl Alt Delete to open Task Manager.
Click More details.
Click Startup.
Right-click on Microsoft OneDrive and choose the Disable option.
