Step 1. Reset the TP-Link router to factory default settings.

Look for the RESET button often found on the back panel of the router.
Press this button for at least 10 seconds to reset the device.
Release the button and let the router reboot to factory default settings.
Factory default settings should now be restored. Log back into your router to begin reconfiguring the device.

Step 2. Change your WiFi password.

Open the web browser and type wireless router tplinkwifi.net in the address bar, then press Enter.
Type the username and password on the login page. administrator/administrator
Click Wireless on the left side of the page.
Click Wireless Security. This option is under the Wireless menu on the left side of the page.
Enter a new password.
Click Save.
